Our first walking weekend sold out and was a great success, so we have arranged another for this summer.
Come and spend a weekend in our cosy 17th Century Coaching Inn set in the pretty Welsh Border town of Usk It’s the perfect venue for a walking break house party, and a great way to meet new friends and to explore the glorious countryside on the doorstep of the hotel. Walking is acknowledged as a fantastic way reduce the risk of heart problems and osteoporosis as well as a great way to relieve stress and recharge your batteries.
The weekend will begin on the Friday night with a welcome drink, a buffet and the chance to meet your fellow walkers. On Saturday, after a hearty Full Welsh Breakfast, a leisurely all day walk of approximately 10 miles is planned, but with plenty of opportunities for refreshment breaks and a picnic lunch. In the evening, a delicious 3 course meal will be served. On Sunday after breakfast the group will set out from the hotel on a half day walk of approximately 5 miles.
On returning to the hotel, those who are leaving us can collect their bags and check-out, those remaining for an extra night have the option of taking Sunday lunch at the hotel, followed by a leisurely afternoon of exploring the town, or relaxing or for the more energetic we have an additional self guided walk available. On Sunday evening our group can either order a snack in the bar or full dinner in the hotel restaurant or sample the food from one of the many pubs and restaurants in the town.
