Midweek Breaks In Wales

Usk is nestled in the beautiful rural heartland of South Wales and for such a small town there are a remarkable number of things to do on your midweek breaks.  There is a Norman Castle and a rural craft museum open to the general public as well as numerous gift and antique shops to keep visitors enthralled. Usk has won the coveted "Wales in Bloom" crown no less than 25 times and the town is proud of it's floral heritage, which is clearly visible to the midweek visitor.

There are an impressive 14 different circular walks that can be taken from the hotel and these follow country lanes, river banks and the numerous footpaths and bridleways that abound the area.  For the real walking enthusiast Usk is located in the heart of the 48 mile Usk Valley Walk which will take you from Caerleon, following the meandering Usk river right the way into to the Black Mountains to Brecon. There are no shortage of things to do when enjoying midweek breaks in this part of South Wales.

Usk is a mecca for Fishing Breaks and there are plenty of opportunities to fish on hotel midweek breaks to this part of Wales.  The river, which is located just a few metres from the 3 Salmons hotel provides some superb salmon and trout fishing and a short drive away there is fishing available in two fabulous reserviors, which are generally quiter midweek.    

Midweek Golfing Breaks are almost endless, as there are 15 golf courses within ten miles of the hotel and prices are much cheaper midweek.   For touring or business midweek breaks the hotel is ideally located in Usk with Cardiff, Newport, and Bristol etc. a short drive away and with quick and easy access to the M4 and the M5. The Milennium Stadium is only 30 minutes away, making the hotel an ideal stopover for the many midweek events that take place there
